Progression drawings from Venetian painting show at MFA

Here are 2 views from a Titian painting that shows some of the process for completing the drawing. Its helped to do these drawings to clarify the steps I'm asking my students to work through in several classes. The main principles are to lay out the larger masses, which will then contain the smaller areas versus starting directly into the details.
