Glazing Experiment
Here are two new paintings that I worked on recently. The first was an improvisation on an image of a bush that I rotated and changed up the color scheme to create a more ambiguous environment.
The next two images are of a painting where I experimented with how glazing would work in acrylics versus oils. I started the image in a monochromatic palette and then thinned down paint to wash over the areas to keep the value structure of the first layer. The color was tough to capture in the photos so I had to do a certain amount of tinkering in gimp to get them close.
