Portrait Demo Drawings

We are dealing with portraiture in some of the classes this semester and I decided to show progress shots of a portrait drawing, to clarify some of the steps involved. Students tend to focus on the parts of the portrait such as the eyes, mouth, nose early in the drawing and I wanted to show that it is important to first work out the structure of the face. I've been wary of showing finished pieces in the classes but I thought it would be helpful to show the steps for getting at a more conventional portrait style and then I would show them examples of different approaches.
