Figure Drawings from Friday






Here are some new figure drawing. It had been a while since I had drawn the model with vine charcoal for a longer drawing than a gesture pose. One thing that sticks of vine charcoal make difficult is working on smaller areas like the portraits. It was interesting working on a larger scale than I was used in the sketchbook where I mostly work with pens. The first image was maybe about two minutes or so and the next four drawings are 20 minute poses.

The gesture drawing is stupendous. So fluid, elegant and detailed for a 2-minute pose...
